About the role

Grooming Royale is seeking an experienced and passionate Groomer to join our busy pet grooming salon in Kenwick, WA. This is a casual position, offering flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle. As a Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring our canine and feline clients look and feel their best.

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, confident, and above all reliable person who is passionate about animal care, prepared to work hard and is confident with all size dogs and cats.

What you'll be doing

• 25-30+ hours per week depending on the needs of the business
• Providing a range of grooming services including bathing, brushing, de-matting, nail trimming, and haircuts
• Handling pets with care and sensitivity to ensure a stress-free grooming experience
• Monitoring the health and well-being of pets during the grooming process and reporting any concerns to the client
• Maintaining a clean and organised grooming workspace
• Providing exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with pet owners

What we're looking for

• At least 6-12 months experience and qualifications as a professional pet groomer, with demonstrated expertise in grooming a variety of breeds
• Strong knowledge of pet health, safety, and welfare
• Strong planning and organisational skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff, pets and their owners
• A passion for animal care and a commitment to providing the highest standard of grooming services
• Ability to manage dogs and cats of different sizes and temperaments
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work a casual schedule as required
