The Role: Build With Us!

We’re on the lookout for a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Carpenter to join our growing team at CRA Construction. If you take pride in precision carpentry, high-quality finishes, and working on diverse commercial projects, this role is for you!

As a Commercial Steel & Timber Carpenter, you’ll be responsible for the installation, assembly, and finishing of steel, timber, and aluminum systems in commercial and architectural builds. You’ll work alongside a highly skilled team, delivering top-tier work while maintaining safety, compliance, and efficiency on every project.

Key Responsibilities:

🔨 Steel & Timber Carpentry: Install steel stud partitions, ceiling systems, and aluminum partitioning systems (e.g., Bris Ali)
🚪 Doors & Finishes: Fit steel door frames, timber jambs, doors, skirting, and mortice locks
🏗️ Timber & External Cladding: Install architraves, mouldings, weatherboards, Exotec, Axon, and CFC/FC soffits
⚡ Specialized Aluminum Work: Install aluminum soffits and Knotwood systems (preferred, but not essential)
✅ Quality Control & Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, project specifications, and high-quality standards
🔧 Tool & Material Management: Manage onsite tools, materials, and minimize waste for efficiency

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in commercial steel and timber carpentry
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans
• Strong knowledge of building codes and safety practices
• A team player who values quality craftsmanship and professionalism
• Trade qualification in Carpentry (Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent)
• White Card (Construction Induction Card)
• Driver’s license & own basic tools (preferred but not essential)
