Live in Management couple or 2 person team required to manage a 20 room apartment complex in beautiful Byron Bay. The managers will be required to live onsite in a 2 Bedroom managers residence adjoining the reception. An accommodation deduction of $238 per manager per week is applicable in accordance with the award to avoid Fringe benefit, this has been fully compensated for in your attractive salary (Includes Water, Electricity, gas & Wifi).
*Employment will be on a contract basis. Potential to earn performance based bonuses.
* The Management team must be available to live onsite with one manager on call each night 7nights a week. Day time working hours shared equally by the management team are negotiable but the advertised salary is based on a combination of 5 full days in the reception & 5 half days of housekeeping & maintenance (Fri-Tue) worked between the 2person team per week . The half days of housekeeping and maintenance are optional but if you choose not to work these the salary for the couple will be reduced proportionately based on agreed hours.
The Successful candidates will possess the following skills:-
*Must be permanent residents.
* High level of customer service skills & experience essential.
* Effective time management skills.
* A strong work ethic.
* Previous Motel/Hotel management experience or experience working in accommodation reception essential.
* Experience managing Site Minder and other internet based room inventory sites such as Booking.com, Expedia & booking button.
*Experience using Satin Software hotel/motel property management system highly regarded.
*Ability to work well as part of a team.
Management duties will include:-
* Overseeing the operation of the entire business.
* Reception duties including greeting & checking in guests,taking reservations, promptly answering calls & emails, checking guests out and handling complaint.
* On call night management duties.
*Marketing & online room inventory management.
* Activley managing & responding promptly to online reviews.
* Developing & maintaining strong relationships with customers, staff, suppliers & agents.
* Account management & payroll.
* Reporting to company directors & following company policies & instructions provided by company directors.
*Assisting housekeepers with housekeeping duties 5 days per week or with maintenance where require.
*Assisting the owner with property management & leasing of onsite shops and the cleaning & maintenance of common property.
