User Experience Designer opportunity
- Approx. $70-85 per hour plus Super dependent on experience
- Assignment duration is up to 6 months. Immediate start.
- Melbourne CBD location/Hybrid Arrangement
About the role
Our client, a government entity, seeks an experienced User Experience Designer to join them on a short-term assignment for a duration of up to a period of 6 months based in Melbourne CBD with an immediate start.
The User Experience Designer will work closely with the project team playing a critical role in understanding the current state experience of various functions of the organisation and the end-user experience for internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities and duties
Key responsibilities and duties will include:
- Translating research insights, public data and technical requirements into solution prototypes
- Prototyping of high-fidelity interactive wireframes and visual designs using an existing design system
- Facilitating workshops with internal stakeholders, collaborating with Product and Tech teams and working with Business Analysts and PMs for successful rollout of UX solutions
- Conducting moderated usability tests i.e. validation of solutions using the most appropriate usability testing techniques and methodologies from recruitment to research planning, execution, and synthesis, planning and conducting quantitative and qualitative user research to develop the evidence base and inform decision making for the project team
- Synthesising and visualising insights from this research through reports, presentations, user flows, personas, and other design artefacts for the digital team and stakeholders across the business
Key Selection Criteria
The skills and experience you will need to demonstrate include:
- Experience of working with design systems to create future state designs and enhance the design system as per needs
- Ability to work and understand the complexities and nuances of a legacy system and be comfortable with ambiguity
- Ability to work independently with some support from UX designer and Content Designer
- Experience of collaboration with other stakeholders and knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 will be well regarded.
