Our client pride themselves on being a leading orthopaedic specialist practice delivering top-tier care to their patients. They are seeking a dynamic and energetic Medical Receptionist that can provide a warm and professional experience to their clients, both in person and over the phone, on a part time basis.

Working Tuesday through Thursday, 9.00am to 5.00pm, the key responsibilities of this position include:

• Front Desk & Customer Service – Greeting patients, handling inquiries, and ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
• Patient Scheduling & Appointment Management – Booking, rescheduling, and confirming patient appointments while managing the surgeon’s calendar efficiently.
• Medical Billing & Medicare Claims – Processing patient payments, handling private health insurance claims, and managing Medicare/DVA billing.
• Medical Records & Data Entry – Maintaining accurate patient records, scanning documents, and updating electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Liaising with Healthcare Professionals – Communicating with GPs, physiotherapists, hospitals, and other specialists regarding referrals and medical documentation.
• Compliance & Confidentiality – Ensuring adherence to privacy laws (e.g., Australian Privacy Act), WorkCover/TAC requirements, and clinic policies regarding patient data security.
