Due to company expansion, we now have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join us as the Health & Safety Business Partner based at our National Head Office in Derrimut, west of Melbourne. This role will suit an experienced Health & Safety operator who has previously worked in a busy manufacturing environment. Safety is always our number one priority, and we are looking for someone with the expertise to provide guidance, support, and proactive suggestions as we continue to shape our safety culture.

Some of the details…

• Support maintaining the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 45001), working with Department Heads to ensure procedures, instructions and forms are in scope.
• Review and support the skills requirements for positions and work with HR to update Training modules.
• Ongoing SOP and SWMS development, reviews, and updates.
• Coordinate the National Safety Meetings and provide feedback to Leaders.
• Creation of procedure and policies to improve safety across the organisation.
• Coordinate and implement improvement projects in a national level.
• Monitoring Safety KPIs and support managers in maintaining OH&S Management System
• Support managers to conduct incident investigations and corrective action plan.
• Review and/or support Managers to complete Risk Assessments ensuring the risks are identified and necessary actions taken, coordinate and conduct safety inspections as required.
• Support Managers in maintaining compliance to OHS regulations and the ISO45001 standard and preparing their sites for internal and external audits.
• Support Emergency Drills within all branches, create and review emergency plans.

Must haves…

• Knowledge of systems management requirements ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.
• Demonstrated experience in an occupational health and safety role.
• Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Formal qualifications pertinent to the role.
• Ability to travel to our interstate locations with overnight stays as required.
