Role Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Project Engineer with a keen interest in the resources sector and a strong background in material handling systems. This position offers the chance to work on diverse Greenfield and Brownfield engineering projects aimed at improving material handling processes.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Expereince working for EPCM or Engineering Consultancy
• Experience with materials handling design projects in both Greenfields and Brownfields environments.
• Strong design and engineering expertise within the materials handling sector.
• Experience working with a diverse range of commodities, from nickel to iron ore, is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of project management principles, including budgeting and scheduling
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders
• Ability to manage project timelines and deliverables effectively
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Duties & Responsibilities

• Budgeting, Scheduling, and reporting regularly on project status.
• Review and approve design deliverables and provide engineering support for team members.
• Forecasting project budget and resources to deliver project requirements.
• Managing and liaising with project team members to ensure project deliverables are met.
• Perform site inspections and audits as required.
• Coordinate design review meetings and preparation of meeting minutes.
• Liaise with client representatives regarding technical queries, project scheduling.
• Assist in tendering activities and proposals for new business opportunities.
• Preparation of scope of works document.
