Bartender - Stella Bar and Restaurant

A stylish and elegant four level hospitality venue in South Yarra, Melbourne, featuring an exclusive private cellar function room, modern ambient dining across three levels and a sleek and sophisticated roof top bar, offering excellence in dining and bar service. A destination for delicious Italian inspired fare, whether casual catch ups, business lunches, after-work drinks, romantic evenings, and the bartender will need to cater for all these occassions with the experience of an A-class service.

The Position

As Bartender will work closely and flexibly with the Beverage Manager and the Venue Manager to deliver a service of European inspired restaurant and bar that will bring together an A-class traditional, streamlined service in a vibrant and lively setting.

Ideal Candidate:

• Demonstrated experience as Bar Staff in a high volume, fast-paced environment
• Must have cocktail and spirit knowledge
• Wine knowledge advantageous
• Training experience in bartending techniques and procedures
• Drive for beverage service
• Passion for delivering outstanding service
• Strong work ethic and a "can do" attitude
• Suitable service industry personality
• Excellent attention to detail
• Must be able and willing to work weekends, public holidays and late nights

To Be Successful You will Have:

A genuine love for hospitality and a commitment to sharing this exciting journey with us.

• 2 year minimum experience in Bartender of a venue, of similar size and complexity.
• Experience in maintaining, estimating and ordering of spirits and cocktail ingredients.
• Management and maintenance of the beer tap system, including routine cleaning, set-up and keg replacement
• Collect and wash glassware, operate the glass washer machine
• A strong work ethic and desire to work and excel within a fast paced and exciting work environment
• Exceptional service skills and naturally guest focused
• Ability and adaptability to perform in high-pressured service periods
• Organisational and time management skills
• Exceptional communication skills and personal presentation
• Bartender's certification
• Valid RSA certificate
• Available to work weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts
