About the role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Venue Manager to join our team at The Outback Tavern & Steakhouse in Emerald, QLD. As the Venue Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our tavern, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery. This full-time position is an integral part of our organisation, contributing to the overall success and growth of our business.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the venue including customer service, food service, entertainment provision and all associated business functions.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimise workflow, improve productivity, and enhance the customer experience.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage and lead a team of hospitality professionals, providing training, support, and performance feedback
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, negotiating contracts and addressing any issues or concerns.
• Contribute to the overall business strategy and decision-making process.
• Prepare and analyse operational reports, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a similar venue management or operations role in the hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Proficient in using relevant software and technology to manage operations and generate reports. We have strategic partnerships with XERO, RESTOKE, Tanda, SWIFTPOS & Professional Hospitality Systems.
• Thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to the industry.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
