Vipac Engineers and Scientists Ltd (Vipac) is looking for a competent, practical and versatile project engineer to join our Consulting Team in the Melbourne office (Port Melbourne).

Vipac was established in 1974 and is a nationwide multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy which provides mechanical, acoustics, vibration and air-quality services for building, infrastructure, industrial, mining, and defence clients.

This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic professional to develop a career in Consulting and Test and Measurement Services specialising in facades testing, acoustics and vibration. The role requires a combination of on-site testing at building sites (80%) and office-based analysis and reporting (20%). Our consultants participate in multiple projects and are trained in various engineering disciplines. The successful candidate would be supported by senior engineering resources.

Some professional engineering experience is preferred; however, graduates are encouraged to apply.

We are looking for the following skills and attributes from the successful applicant:

• Minimum Bachelor level mechanical engineering degree
• Practical engineering skills. Building services experience is advantageous.
• Strong communication and client liaison skills;
• Good report writing skills;
• A driver’s license (manual preferred); and
• A team player
