Position Title: Occupational Multi-disciplinary Team Coordinator

The Asbestos and Dust Diseases Research Institute (ADDRI) is an independent, not for profit research institute, focusing on the elimination of asbestos and other dust-related diseases worldwide. We work in collaboration with individuals and organisations worldwide, with a commitment to evidence-based translational research, advocacy and clinical care. In 2025, ADDRI will lead the implementation of dedicated state wide occupational lung disease meeting will allow a comprehensive assessment for patients affected by silicosis, asbestosis and other non-malignant occupational lung diseases. This will be in collaboration with Concord Repatriation General Hospital.
Primary Purpose
This role will be responsible for the co-ordination of the ADDRI state-wide occupational lung multidisciplinary meeting. This will include liaising with referring clinicians, patients, health registries and support services and members of the MDT.
The MDT coordinator will be responsible for reviewing electronic referrals to the meeting, obtaining patient consent and additional historical information from patients and referring clinicians, and coordinating the transfer of relevant clinical data, tissues or images for central or electronic review. They will additionally assist in the completion and distribution of meeting documentation, notifications to appropriate health registers and link patients with silicosis, asbestosis and other relevant support services.
Essential Requirements
Applicants to hold relevant tertiary qualifications in a health-related discipline and have work experience in clinical care co-ordination.
Key Accountabilities
- Obtain consent from referred patients
- To liaise with referring clinicians and patients to obtain additional historical information for pre-meeting documentation
- To co-ordinate transfer of electronic imaging and physician pathology slides for central review
- To co-ordinate transfer for imaging, pathology and pulmonary function reports for storage on central secure documentation platform for review in MDT.
- To arrange survey based occupational lung screening and occupational hygienist assessment.
- To document meeting outcomes and assist in the development of consensus statements for distribution to referring physicians and storage on MyHealth Record and SLHD eMR.
- To notify relevant health registrars of dust related diseases
- To link patients to appropriate silicosis and asbestosis support services.

Selection Criteria
- Hold relevant tertiary qualifications in a health-related discipline, project management or extensive clinical project administration experience
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work effectively in a changing environment with competing priorities and demands, including ability to problem solve when presented with unexpected challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency, including MS Office platforms and familiarity with Electronic Data Capturing systems such as REDCap.
