Jim Pearson Transport's fleet is a familiar sight between Brisbane and Sydney and throughout regional Qld with our Head Office in Port Macquarie and depots in Brisbane, Grafton, Taree, Sydney.

Our reputation and commitment to our clients has seen the company secure new contracts. We are now seeking a trainer with a passion for training in the transport industry and the ability to share their knowledge with others to work from our Brisbane depot.

You will be joining other experienced trainers in the Driver Training Team and be responsible for but not limited to:

• Conducting pre- employment assessments
• Conducting regular ‘in-cab’ training/assessments for existing staff and completing assessment reports
• Identifying driver's training requirements
• Conducting training for licence upgrades and Condition B removals
• Providing prime mover and trailer inductions
• Assisting with company and customer inductions

Skills and qualifications:

• Ideally you will hold Certificate IV TAE40116 /TAE40122 or working towards the qualification
• Ability to be a mentor to new drivers and deliver 1st class training
• Heavy vehicle licence- minimum requirement HC (we will provide training and licence assessment to MC)
• Be competent in the use of auto and non- synchromesh transmissions
• HRW licence
• General and temperature controlled freight experience desirable
• Knowledge of mass management, fatigue management, load restraints and CoR
• Flexibility in days and hours worked

• All applicants must pass a pre-employment fitness assessment and Trucksafe medical including Drug & Alcohol testing
