About the Opportunity

Piacentini & Son were recently awarded a 9-year contract for Kimberley Mineral Sands Thunderbird Operations, a greenfield Mineral Sands mine 140km by road between Broome and Derby.

We are seeking an Experienced Maintenance Supervisor on a Permanent Full-Time basis, based at our KMS Broome project. Reporting to our Project Managers, this is a multifaceted role, that will provide both technical support and leadership for our workshop team.

About You

• 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Recognised Australian Trade Qualification (Essential)
• Section 26 Qualification
• Display a clear commitment and focus on the health, safety and well-being of all employees
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Hold a valid Australian Drivers Licence
• Willingness to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical & Drug / Alcohol Screen

Responsibilities

• Ensuring maintenance team tasks are being achieved to a high standard, without compromising on safety
• Delivering effective leadership through engagement, guidance, support and feedback to teams and individuals
• Monitor work tasks closely and aid in resolving any associated issues promptly
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and practices and conduct safety reviews and inspections
• Optimize resource management to minimize costs effectively
• Encourage innovation and employee engagement to drive continuous improvement in work practices
• Current experience in a mining or civil engineering environment, working on large scale equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines whilst maintaining a strong approach to safety
