2 positions - Fixed-term for the 2025 school year,
Part-time working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm
32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (School term time only).

About the role
We are seeking 2 experienced Learning Support Assistants to provide assistance in the Preparatory School and during activities for individual children with specific special learning needs. You will support classroom teachers to establish an effective learning environment and to provide adjustments to learning materials to support the individual student access and participate in education on the same basis as other students. Active supervision and one-to-one support for the boys is required. You may need to assist one of these students with his personal needs where necessary.
Key Selection Criteria: Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Certificate III in Education Support (as minimum or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience in working with individual students with Autism, ASD/ADHD
- An understanding of students with a high level of additional needs.
- Creative and demonstrates initiative
- Excellent ICT and administrative skills
- Ability to attend excursions, sports days, camps (if applicable) and other school-based activities
- Current certification in Provide First Aid (or ability to acquire)
- Awareness of the Privacy Act
- Physically fit, agile, and able to assist the student with personal needs
- Training in keyword signing and experience working with non-verbal children would be a distinct advantage.
- Knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication devices (AAC) such as Prolongue2go would be highly regarded (or willing to learn use of the device).

- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a diverse range of students and parents
- Ability to ensure confidentiality.
