About You :
- You hold a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
Licences & Registrations
- Rights to work in Australia.
- Current and full registration with AHPRA as an occupational therapist with ongoing commitment to remain registered.
- Full South Australian driver's licence and registered and insured (comprehensive insurance) car for daily work use.
- Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance (minimum requirements to be met).
- National Police Check (Vulnerable - Unsupervised).
- DHS Working with Children Check.
- DHS Aged Care Sector Screening
- DHS Vulnerable Person Related Employment Screening
Other requirements
- Valid first aid/CPR.
Position Summary :
The Occupational Therapist, Level 2 demonstrates the ability to work independently and is required to exercise independent judgment on routine matters. They may require professional supervision from more senior members of the profession or health team when performing novel, complex, or critical tasks. They have demonstrated a commitment to continuing professional development and contributing to workplace education through the provision of seminars, lectures, or in-services. At this level, the Occupational Therapist is involved in and may lead quality improvement activities.
At this level, the Occupational Therapist, Level 2 contributes to the evaluation and analysis of guidelines, policies, and procedures applicable to their clinical/professional work and contributes to the supervision of discipline-specific clinicians, therapy assistants, and students.

Holistic OT provides adult disability, aged care, and dementia-specific occupational therapy services across the Eyre Peninsula. We support our clients to live well and continue to be able to do the things that are important to them despite the challenges that they face. We primarily provide services to clients through the My Aged Care and National Disability Insurance Schemes however our program also extends to clients via fee-for-service, DVA/Medicare, and other funding bodies.

Key Requirements :
- Minimum five years of clinical experience working with adults, preferably older adults and those living with dementia/cognitive impairment.
- Minimum two years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Preferred experience working in Aged Care and Disability Sectors.

Job Responsibility :
Summary of key duties:
- Provide occupational therapy clinical services to clients.
- Achieve and exceed billable outcomes.
- Support, clinically supervise and train discipline specific clinicians, therapy assistants and students.
- Contribute to team morale and culture.
- Represent and promote Holistic OT at every opportunity.
- Participates in personal and professional development activities.
- Contributes to WHS, quality improvement and strategic projects as required.
Organisational Environment
- The Occupational Therapist, Level 2 is considered a senior member of the team.
- The Occupational Therapist, Level 2 works directly alongside all team members in the company.
- The Occupational Therapist, Level 2 works closely with a range of stakeholders supporting clients and team members.
Reporting Relationships
- The Occupational Therapist, Level 2 reports to the Director.
- The Occupational Therapist, Level 2 does not have any direct reports.
Client Focus
- Provides clinical occupational therapy services to clients and their care network. This may include but is not limited to occupational therapy assessment, goal setting, individual/group intervention/training and reporting in accordance with Holistic OT clinical governance policies and procedures.
- Service provision standards are evaluated and monitored by line manager and clinical supervisor during clinical supervision, appraisals, file audits and quality checks.
Team Focus
- Demonstrates the companys’ values, and contributes to team culture and morale, onboarding, meetings and training days.
- Provides direct clinical supervision, maps knowledge gaps and provides training to junior staff and students in alignment with the company clinical governance and operational policies and procedures.
- Contributes to clinical governance of the company as per Holistic OT clinical guidelines.
- Takes responsibility for own behaviour and its impact on others.
- Brings a good attitude to work - sharing, laughing and enjoying other’s company.
- Demonstrates a willingness to speak up when things are not right.

- Consistently achieves at or above agreed billable expectations as outlined in the company’s operational guidelines which is monitored by line manager during check-ins, performance meetings and appraisals.
- Contributes to strategic planning and project implementation through activities including but not limited to reviews/audits, research and future planning events.
- Represents the company positively and in alignment with the company mission and values.
- Contributed to general marketing activities as required.
- Facilitates and promotes positive stakeholder relationships.
Community Focus
- Develops and maintains relationships with clients, families, caregivers, relevant health professionals and stakeholders to ensure effective service provision and client satisfaction according to the company's Operational Guidelines. This is evaluated by the line manager during appraisals.
- Contributes to and facilitates community development activities such as running of educational and support events.
Self-Improvement
- Participates in professional appraisals, professional and personal development activities.
- Demonstrates commitment to being a lifelong learner and shows a willingness to invest in self which may include private study and/or attendance at education seminars/events outside of what is offered by the company.
Quality and Improvement
- Identifies, leads, and participates in quality improvement operational and clinical initiatives.
- Reports on the effectiveness of interventions and service delivery in alignment with the company’s quality and improvement framework.
- Supports with the development of clinically relevant systems within the company.
- Evaluated by line manager during projects, appraisals, and check ins.

- Understands, contributes to, and complies with the company’s Workplace Health and Safety Policies and Procedures, and promotes a safe workplace for self and others in all environments.
- Identifies risks and complies with reporting requirements, and is actively involved in risk mitigation strategies.
- Evaluated during appraisals, performance meetings, and compliance checks.

- Support with other general duties that may arise as the company grows and develops.
