Remote Area Nurse – Visiting Specialist Services

Are you an experienced nurse with a passion for providing high-quality care to remote communities? Join our team as a Remote Area Nurse within our Visiting Specialist Program and make a real difference in the lives of people in rural and remote areas.

In this role, you will be the main point of contact for the organization, working collaboratively with a multifaceted team to deliver essential services, including:

• Case Conferences: Coordinate care and communication between specialists and local healthcare providers.
• Telehealth Services: Facilitate virtual consultations to bring expert care to remote patients.
• Outreach Visits: Conduct visits to remote communities to ensure access to specialist care, prevention, and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work within the Visiting Specialist Program to provide high-quality care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care.
• Contribute to health prevention, education, and treatment for Aboriginal communities.

Requirements:

• Current AHPRA registration (Registered Nurse).
• ALS Certificate (REC or MEC) and Immunisation Certificate.
• Current Police Check or the ability to obtain one.
• Strong cultural awareness and understanding of the needs of remote Aboriginal communities.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and case management skills.
