Your role at St John of God Social Outreach
We are seeking to hire a Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide mental health services to perinatal infant mental health clients at our Midland and/or Wembley locations.
The Raphael Services Clinical Nurse Specialist is a member of a multi-disciplinary team that provides comprehensive mental health care to women and their families during the perinatal period up until the index child is four years of age.
The Position
- Provide specialist perinatal and infant mental health services to women and their families including care coordination.
- Maintain knowledge of current best practice and research in the PIMH field.
- Ensure clinical practice is culturally sensitive.
- Liaise and build effective relationships with primary and tertiary health care providers, as well as other relevant health services/community agencies to ensure continuity of care for clients.
- Support the specialist PIMH consultation and education/training to primary care, government and nongovernment agencies.
- Facilitate therapeutic group programs.
- Maintain client records and statistical data in accordance with legislation, Medicare requirements, WA Primary Health Alliance (WAPHA), professional standards, and SJGHC requirements.
You will be currently registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse, considerable experience working in mental health and providing a range of psychotherapeutic interventions to individuals, families and groups.
Experience working with women and families affected by psychological, social and psychiatric problems in the perinatal period will be highly regarded. Successful applicants must hold a valid WA drivers licence and Working with Children card.

We can offer you
- Salary: $121,647 plus 11.5% Superannuation
- Permanent part-time, 30.4 hours per week
