About the role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Apprentice to join our team at PEAP Contractors Pty Ltd in Wangara, WA. As an Electrical Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and develop the skills necessary to become a qualified electrician. This is a full-time position, offering on the job training and the chance to kick start your career in the commercial electrical industry, specifying in motor controls, lighting systems and switchboards.

What you'll be doing

• Installation, maintenance, and repair of motor and automation controls in industrial and commercial settings.
• Installation, testing, and commissioning of switchboards.
• Involvement in commercial lighting installations, including sports lighting, street and pedestrian lighting, and decorative lighting projects.
• Working through all stages of lighting installations, from earthworks to final commissioning and testing, gaining experience in design, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Providing electrical maintenance services for the commercial sector, including routine inspections, emergency repairs, and ensuring compliance with all safety standards.
• Developing practical skills in electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and problem solving, with a focus on motor controls, lighting systems, and switchboard installation and maintenance.
