The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager this role will see you lead the Mechanical team and ensure that site Mechanical equipment and systems are maintained to the highest standards, as well as seek to achieve plant continuity and reliability. You will be focused on adhering to the highest safety standards and actively contribute to continuous improvement activities.

Other keys responsibilities will include:

  • Managing compliance with safety procedures and systems
  • Coordinate the resources required to execute planned maintenance work.
  • Plan and coordinate the execution of reactive work requirements outside of the weekly planning cycle.
  • Verify work systems are being utilized correctly and to the quality required
  • Assist with the development and review of Maintenance Work Instructions
  • Manage tooling and maintenance spares within the workshop
  • Oversee site workshop repairs
  • Review work requests, participate in planning meetings and provide feedback to the planning department.
  • Review and analyse maintenance KPIs
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders in the maintenance planning, reliability, capital and Turnaround teams.

About You

To ensure success in your application you will have a proven track record with leading a maintenance team complimented by a mechanical or electrical trade qualification, with experience in a chemical or gas processing plant.

You will also have:

  • 5 years maintenance experience in a chemical manufacturing plant or similar heavy industrial maintenance environment
  • Qualifications in Engineering or Trade Certification
  • 2 years experience in a supervision role
  • Sound understanding and experience with:
    - Multidiscipline work environment
    - Maintenance Management Systems
    - Quality Management Systems
    - Risk Management Systems
    - Emergent Work Management
    - Contractor Management
    - Safety Management
  • SAP PM or similar CMMA user capability
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Applications
