Our client is a leading Financial Institution seeking a Senior Manager with expertise in CPS 230 Operational Risk Management to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting risk in change practices within the Customer and Corporate Services transformation portfolio.

This role requires excellent interpersonal skills and someone who is willing to challenge the existing risk frameworks and governance. The Senior Manager will focus on providing risk advice, embedding controls, and ensuring compliance with CPS 230 across business case development, solution design, and implementation stages.

Responsibilities:

  • Risk governance and frameworks: Outside the box thinking, team collaboration and self starting capabilities.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Work closely with Senior Executives within the risk space to solve complex issues and find solutions within tight deadlines.
  • Risk Advisory: Provide expert risk advice for operating procedures, ensuring alignment with CPS 230 requirements.
  • Risk Assessment: Lead risk assessment activities to identify and manage risks associated with the new operating model.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Present information and insights to senior stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on risk-related matters.
  • Program Support: Work closely with the transformation program, providing guidance and ensuring risk and change practices are effectively implemented.
  • Coaching and Development: Support and coach program teams and business units in understanding and managing operational risks.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience with CPS 230 Operational Risk Management and procurement practices.
  • Strong knowledge of risk and change management practices.
  • Proven ability to develop, embed, and implement effective controls in line with regulatory requirements.
  • 8 - 10 years of experience delivering risk management activities within a corporate or financial services environment.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at senior levels.
  • A strategic mindset with a strong focus on operational excellence and risk mitigation.
  • Hands-on experience in delivering risk assessments and controls within complex transformation programs.
  • An ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams to ensure seamless implementation of risk management practices.
