EMBARK NOW on a deeply rewarding journey as a Support Worker in our Lifestyles team and experience the satisfaction by supporting your clients to overcome challenges, achieve their goals, and thrive in a supportive environment. These positions include day programs, outreach and community-based one-on-one support where you'll have the opportunity to directly engage with clients, as well as providing services for clients and their families in their own homes.

We currently have positions across the Greater Newcastle and Hunter Region, between the Stockton, Wallsend, and Lake Macquarie areas!

Starting as a casual position, CPA encourages progression and there is a clear pathway to permanent part-time work.

*Note: whilst you will have a primary location during your onboarding (Croudace Bay), these roles will require travel to any and/or all above-listed locations.

Your duties will include:

  • Delivering personalised support by assisting clients at mealtimes, personal care, administrating medication, manual handling.
  • Supporting clients to make their own choices and build skills to be more independent.
  • Supporting clients to engage and participate in the community.
  • Building positive relationships with our clients.
  • Transporting clients in our wheelchair accessible vans and pool cars

Requirements:

  • Professional Behaviour Support experience or lived experience preferred, however your can-do attitude is key!
  • Someone who embodies CPA values, is client-focused in their approach to care, and driven by the opportunity to make an impact in the lives of people with disabilities.
  • Day shifts are 9.00 am-3.00 pm, 9.30-3.30pm or 10.00-4.00pm.
  • A current NSW Driver's Licence (P2 minimum).
  • Travel to all locations listed above.
