Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Technical Lead/Solution Designer to join us on a project for one of the leading banks in Australia. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders, analyze business requirements, and design innovative technical solutions to support the delivery of a new consolidated platform. This platform will provide core services across property, facilities, workflow, and security management.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, developing, and building integrations between key systems, ensuring alignment with the bank’s architecture, governance frameworks, and domain roadmaps. You will play a crucial role in simplifying processes and driving transformation within the organization.

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Producing technical design documentation which may address technology solutions or changes to service, process or operating models, across architectures including Cloud, SaaS, API & microservices.
• Developing & delivering technology solutions in line with best practices and to agreed timeframes.
• Identifying & assisting in mitigating the impact of technology dependencies on solution delivery.
• Prepare clear technology proposals and accurate estimates of required costs & resources.
• Perform functional analysis of user stories/requirements to align technology solutions with Business objectives.
• Engage with Developers, Architects, Consultants and Security Specialists to provide a key link between the technical needs of the business and the solution design.
• Identify & evaluate risks associated with the project and develop mitigation strategies.
• Evaluate progress and identify improvements to inform future projects.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

• Expertise in system process analysis and end-to-end design.
• Strong proficiency in data analytics and integration technologies.
• Experience in designing and implementing Cloud, SaaS, API, and microservices architectures.
• Full-stack development experience, with knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
• Experience with Oracle databases and technologies (highly advantageous).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prepare technical documentation, proposals, and cost/resource estimations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies proactively.
• Knowledge of best practices in secure software development and architecture governance frameworks.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role.
• Prior experience in property management and/or physical security technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in Cloud, DevOps, or system architecture (preferred but not mandatory).
