Bambi Childcare is Geraldton’s oldest, most established and reputable childcare and early learning provider, established in 1967. Whilst the business operates within the Geraldton Greenough area it proudly serves the wider MidWest region as well.

Should you be the successful applicant you will join a diverse and expansive business providing Possums, Joey and Wombats long day care supported by wellbeing programs in addition to early learning. Bambi are leaders in the fields of School holiday, Out-of-School-Hours care and academic offerings such as homework and tutorial. The Early Learning Teacher role is pivotal to all of the service offerings and presents a fruitful and challenging opportunity for a candidate seeking more than the customary school and set curriculum environment may offer.

You will join a team of motivated and professional leaders and become participant in a range of diverse childcare and early learning activities and initiatives that are central to a unique services mix and vibrant professional culture. Our experienced personnel are out most important asset, and our processes and systems are set up to support staff to deliver a high standard of customer service to both the attending children as well as to the Parents and Carers.

This role will see you leading our long day care centre and working collaboratively with fellow Educators to deliver a play-based learning program. You will be supported by the the experienced Management Team and the Approved Provider. You will be given every opportunity to learn and grow, facilitating the most professional, caring and positive experience for all children, families and peers.

About the role

You will hold a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Studies) or Working Towards your degree or equivalent with experience in the Early Childhood Sector. Your passion for early childhood education will be matched by your reflective nature, analytical skills, sense of curiosity and fun. We place great importance on the role of our Early Childhood Teachers and you will be a key driver in establishing constructive and robust relationships with our lovely families, your peers and the wider community.

As the ideal candidate, you will present with a strong understanding of the EYLF and MTOP and NQS and have experience within the Early Childhood Sector. You will also be confident when communicating with all levels of management.

The ideal candidate for this position will hold:

  • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Studies) or a Recognised ACECQA Early Childhood Teacher qualification, or Working Towards
  • Working with Children Check
  • Thorough understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), My Time Our Place (MTOP) and the National Quality Standards (NQS)
