My client is an established accounting firm who are seeking a Senior Accountant or Manager to join their Business Services practice. This firm has a network that expands across the globe and are currently looking to expand its Sydney team. They service a diverse range of clients from start-ups, family groups, SMEs to international subsidiaries.

Some responsibilities include:

• Assist with managing a fee base
• Review work of junior staff on-site and off-shore
• Preparation and review of income tax returns for all entities and all other compliance requirements
• Finalising complex financial accounts
• Preparation and analysis of management reports
• Provision of tax advice on issues such as FBT, Div7A, CGT, GST, PSI and more
• Tax planning and forecasting, succession planning and restructuring advice
• Train, mentor and delegate to team members
• Setting and monitoring KPIs, WIP, productivity, budgets and deadlines
• Providing support to Principal in relation to client management and achieving team objectives

Applicants:

• Experience working in a Senior Accountant or Manager capacity in public practice accounting
• Approximately 5 or more years’ experience in public practice
• CA/CPA qualified or upon completion
• Strong technical understanding of SME matters and able to advise on related issues
• Demonstrated experience managing own clients
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Solutions-oriented mindset and able to articulate information of varying complexities to stakeholders effectively
