My client is a fast growing 50 staff firm who are seeking their next Senior Accountant and Assistant Manager. They are a modern, cloud based accounting and advisory firm and have developed a strong reputation in the marketplace demonstrated by a growing client base ranging across SMEs, large consolidated groups, international companies, start-ups, family groups, investments and HWNIs.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, you’ll be working in a compliance and advisory capacity. This role will require you to be involved closely with your clients in order to facilitate their compliance requirements and to achieve their business objectives through value-add/advisory services.

Some responsibilities include:

• Assisting Senior Manager and Director to manage portfolio of clients
• Training and overseeing the work of juniors
• Preparation and review of financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies, SMSFs, group structures and international clients.
• Attending to common taxation matters including Div7A, GST, FBT, CGT, PSI, etc
• Working with clients on business decisions and advising them on structuring, asset protection, identifying risks and exposures and tax minimisation strategies.

Applicants

• Senior: 4 years experience or more in business services and tax
• Assistant Manager: 6 years or more in business services and tax
• Experience working in Senior Accountant or Supervisor/Assistant Manager capacity
• CA/CPA qualified (ideal but not essential)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills due to the client facing nature of role
• Demonstrate strong leadership and rapport building skills
