About Nexgen Crushing and Screening:

NEXGEN Crushing & Screening (‘NGC’) was established by Daniel Palmer, who has many years of extensive experience in earthmoving & materials processing before independently launching NGC in 2017.

With NGC’s head office located in Albany, works can be delivered upon throughout Western Australia.

Operations currently employ over 50 people and can upscale as needed to effectively and productively deliver on large-scale projects or smaller project needs that are tailored solutions to suit customer needs within the mining, civil construction, and industry sectors. NGC can provide full-scale service capabilities in Quarry Management or independent small-scale operations and anything in between for earthmoving, mining, material processing, heavy haulage, and Drill & Blast.

The role:

We are seeking a Multiple Mobile Plant Operators to be an integral part of our crew on sites from Kalgoorlie to Marble Bar and everywhere in between. We have secured some lucrative contracts for 2025 with great possibilities in 2026 too. We want to keep growing and exceeding our possibilities and need you in our team to do so.

The tasks and responsibilities are:

• Fixed Circuit Crushing Plant, or
• Excavators, or
• Loaders, or
• Dozers, or
• Water Carts, or
• ADT's

• Undertake the role of operating;
• Assisting with basic maintenance and general operation of equipment, including but not limited to: cleaning, inspections, servicing, adjustment, troubleshooting, crusher rebuilds, screen mat changes, roller and skirt replacements and repairs
• Identifying and removing oversized products.
• Performing manual labour when required, clearing bogged conveyor belts, shovelling, and any other labour-intensive asks as requested by the Supervisor/Leading Hand. Driving machines to and from worksites.
• Ensuring project execution is undertaken safely to the required standards, quality and schedule.
• Preparing machines for operation, including through pre-starts and reporting all defects
• Working under the direction of supervisors.
• Operating all mobile plant in a safe and efficient manner as to maximize output.
• Operate all Mobile plant in a safe manner that complies with all safety requirements and not to endanger people or damage to plant.
• Maintaining duty of care for other users and work to site specific safety requirements and occupational health and safety requirements.
• Implementing and following through instructions from Supervisor/Leading Hand.
• Compliance with any and all statutory, regulatory, governance and legislative requirements without exception.
• Ensuring production targets are met.
• Maintaining accurate logs, pre-starts and timesheet

What we are offering:

• Casual position with maximum FIFO hours each swing
• FIFO role
• At the moment we are running on an 8:6 roster but may eventuate to 2:2 or 2:1 roster
• Can fly out of anywhere in WA - Perth, Kalgoorlie etc

To be successful in this role, it is essential that candidates have:

• 2 years minimum (not essential but preferred) Crushing and Screening environment
• 2 Qualified Reference Checks
• Tickets and Qualifications
• Current Driving Licence
• Current working at heights (not essential but highly regarded)
• Working Rights Australia (Australian Passport or Birth Cert /OR New Zealand Passport /OR Foreign Passport with valid visa letter).
• Strong communication skills.
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work safely, uphold safe practices and procedures in a regulated environment
• Provide a pre-employment medical (no older than 6 months), Current LAB DAS (no older than 28 days), National Police Clearance (no older than 3 months), current drivers licence and Construction White Card
