Pharmavet is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Production Co-Ordinator who is responsible for all the production (packaging) aspects of the company. Starts, operates, tends, stops, and cleans machines. Inspects product to ensure high quality. Responsible for overseeing packaging of product, and assistance with warehousing duties. Ensuring that the GMP codes are being adhered to within the production team. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager.

Key Accountabilities
o Ensure the standard operating procedures are being adhered to.
o Cultivate a safety culture within the production area of accountability through role modelling and leadership.
o Implementing & Monitoring OH&S compliance.
o Responsible to review staff timesheets prior to submission.
o Ensuring that resources are correctly allocated and monitored for packing.
o Working with relevant parties to implement production plan & consistent improvement.
o Performing site inductions & ensuring safe work practices are being adhered to at all times.
o Selecting, training and supervising of personnel.
o Set up and troubleshooting for machinery.
o Daily planning, organising, discussions with operations team.
o Daily on-going check ins with team regarding current production.
o Receiving and checking materials and communication/update with QA and production team once checked.
o Assist the QA Team as needed
o Managing Warehouse and Inventory Transfers
o Prompting and Liaising with Manager regarding packing materials for upcoming jobs.
o Ensuring products are produced and stored according to QA guidelines.
o Co-ordinating with the QA team to issue BOM kits to the packing team.
o Competency assessments, document completion, training and cross training of team members.
o Responsible for ensuring samples are taken by packing team when a batch is finished.
o Preparing samples for testings in out of spec materials, troubleshooting with team and coaching team along the process.
o Checking all paperwork to ensure we are compliant, investigating if any issues occurred and liaising with Manager and QA team to rectify any problems that have occurred.
o Finalising packing documents.
o Transferring finished product to the warehouse under guidance of QA and Operations Manager.
o Regular communications with manager regarding forward planning.
o Communication with Manager with end of day updates.
o Update spreadsheets and registers as needed
o Check and liaise with QA team for line clearances.
o Forklift Operation
o Other duties as required to support the operations of the packing department.
Education and Experience
o Product or industry-specific experience.
o Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and databases.
o Knowledge and experience in production processes and techniques.
o Knowledge of Packaging and Raw materials.
o Knowledge of Quality systems and standards.
o Knowledge of Health and Safety standards and compliance.
o Knowledge of machines and tools.
