We are on the lookout for a dedicated, self motivated and detail-oriented Team Leader to help manage one of our Factories. This is a unique opportunity for a hardworking energetic individual with positive “can do” attitude to join our dynamic team.

Job Description

As our Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the operational efficiency of our Dispatch & Powder coating Departments. This role involves supporting your team to carry out each days tasks efficiently and effectively using a “work smarter not harder mentality”.

• Our dispatch team quality check, wrap, package, load trucks and trailers and ensure our fleet of trucks are loaded safely for distribution to our resellers and wholesalers.
• Our Powder Coating team ensure our manufactured goods are washed, pre treated, quality checked and powder coated as per our quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Ensuring that all received goods are accurately checked and documented.
2. Training & mentoring your team to create a calm, happy and productive workplace
3. Oversee the safe storage of inwards and outwards goods and maintaining a well-organized, clean warehouse.
4. Conducting regular inventory checks and coordinating stock control measures.
5. Quality checking of finished goods and ensuring accurate collation of orders before and after packaging
6. Coordinating and motivating your team to ensure their tasks are carried out in a timely manner with regard to our quality standards.
7. Overseeing the loading and unloading of goods using forklifts or other necessary equipment.
8. Ensuring equipment is maintained and any maintenance issues are reported/corrected
9. Supervising our powder coating team to ensure their daily targets are achieved and offering support where/when needed
10. Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications, Skills & attributes

1. Previous experience in a similar role within a similar environment would be advantageous.
2. A valid forklift operator license.
3. Communication skills: Communication is crucial when working with and leading a team because you will need to communicate with both your team and the business owner. Clear, direct and respectful communication is required.
4. Organizational skills: Being aware of how the work flows from powder coating to dispatch and beyond is important so you can always be one step ahead of your team. A team who are well directed are a happy and productive team.
5. Ability to delegate: You will be able to gain the trust of your team by leading by example but also have the ability to step away and ensure that their next task is ready once they complete the task they are on.
6. Confident by humble work ethic: Team members often mimic the work ethic of their team leader. Displaying commitment and confidence in your role will create a happy and healthy work environment
7. Flexible & Adaptable: No 2 days will be exactly the same. You should have the ability to prioritize and have the confidence to redirect resources as/when needed.
8. This is a hands on role so good physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy items is essential.

You will have the support of the business owner and other key team members to support you as you develop within the role.
