About the role

This is a full-time Assistant Manager role within the Treasure Hunter Benalla' retail store located in Benalla, VIC 3672. As Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial part in supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving sales performance.

What you'll be doing

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing all aspects of store operations, including inventory management, staffing, and financial reporting
• Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with customers to drive sales and loyalty
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement sales strategies and marketing initiatives
• Supervise and train store staff, ensuring they are providing a positive shopping experience
• Assist in the management of cash handling, banking, and loss prevention procedures
• Contribute to the overall success of the store by identifying and implementing process improvements

• Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably within the Retail & Consumer Products industry
• Strong customer service and sales skills, with the ability to provide an exceptional shopping experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
• Proficient in inventory management, financial reporting, and loss prevention procedures
• Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
