The Role

We are seeking a Graduate Lawyer to join our team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has recently completed their LLB or JD, has obtained or is soon to obtain their practicing certificate, and is eager to gain hands-on experience across litigation, commercial law, and family law.

This role allows you to work across multiple practice areas, providing the chance to explore different fields of law and discover where your passion lies. From the outset, you will be involved in real client matters to develop your legal skills in a supportive and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Case Preparation & Legal Research – Assist in preparing legal arguments, case strategies, and research memos across different practice areas.
• Drafting & Reviewing Documents – Draft pleadings, affidavits, contracts, and correspondence.
• Court & Tribunal Involvement – Support lawyers in court appearances, mediations, and negotiations, with opportunities to observe and participate.
• Client Communication & Support – Engage with clients, attend meetings, and provide updates on case progress under supervision.
• File & Matter Management – Work on active cases using LEAP or Smokeball (prior experience not required; training will be provided).
• Exposure to Multiple Areas of Law – Gain experience in litigation, commercial law, and family law, working on a variety of matters to build a well-rounded foundation for your career.
• Professional Development & Mentorship – Receive one-on-one coaching from the firm’s partner and collaborate with a team dedicated to your growth.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• A Law degree (LLB or JD) and recently obtained or in the process of obtaining your practicing certificate.
• A keen interest in exploring different areas of law.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive mindset and a willingness to learn.
• No prior experience with LEAP or Smokeball is required – on-the-job training will be provided.
