Full time role on a family run farm milking 400 cows in a 60-stand rotary.

The successful candidate will have a passion for the dairy industry and will assist in running and progressing the dairy operation.

Role will include:

• Implementing animal health, productivity and safe operating procedures.
• Milkings- 9 per week, including every second weekend.
• General animal treatments, heat detection
• Tractor operation, mostly feeding cattle, carting silage, topping paddocks etc
• Dairy and farm repairs and maintenance
• Fencing and farm plumbing
• Animal Husbandry including calf rearing

Ideal candidate will:

• Have a positive attitude and team player
• Experienced in dairy and with tractors and machinery
• Be willing to participate in training, learn and implement new skills
• Reliable and punctual
• Be able to /or work towards running the farm without supervision for up to 2 weeks during the quiet season

Close to Mount Gambier. Must have own transport, drivers license and willingness to take pre-employment medical.

Salary Circa: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year for experienced applicant, 40-50 hours per week
