As the Director - Cabinet Legislation Liaison Office (CLLO), you will play a pivotal role in providing leadership, strategic guidance, and key support to senior management. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with clients at all levels within the department, as well as colleagues from other Government departments and ministerial offices.
In this role, you will:
• Manage and oversee all aspects of Cabinet and Cabinet Committee meeting briefings and folders, including the preparation and distribution of submissions, decisions, and briefing papers.
• Provide expert advice on Cabinet procedures to peers and stakeholders, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with the Ministers' Offices and across Government departments, facilitating coordination and improvement of Cabinet, Parliamentary, and Executive Council processes.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration with Government bodies under the Treasurer's ministerial responsibilities, ensuring regulatory requirements are met.
• Review and evaluate submissions, briefing notes, and legislative material to ensure quality, relevance, and adherence to government guidelines and timeframes.
• Coordinate the department's Cabinet, Parliamentary, Executive Council, and legislative program, ensuring an efficient and client-focused workflow.
• Prepare reports on decision implementation status, timeframes, and progress of election commitments for the Treasurer.
• Ensure secure storage, handling, and dissemination of Cabinet documents, in compliance with guidelines and record-keeping requirements.
• Promote an equitable and fair workplace environment through the implementation of management standards and policies.
What experience you will bring:
• Extensive knowledge of government procedures, particularly in relation to Cabinet, Parliamentary, and Executive Council processes.
• Experience in handling public policy matters and complex strategic issues.
• Familiarity with Government processes, networks, and financial management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile team environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, however, qualifications with a focus on economics, finance and business are highly regarded.
