We seek an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our dedicated team at Heritage Aged Care in Balcatta, Western Australia. This contract role offers the opportunity to lead our growing organisation's financial strategy and operations.

About the Role

The CFO will oversee financial governance, budgeting, reporting, and compliance to ensure sound financial management and long-term sustainability. This role involves working closely with the CEO, executive team, and Board of Directors to drive strategic financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy, planning and forecasting to support business growth
• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable and asset management
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory obligations
• Provide timely financial reports and insights to the CEO and Senior Executive Team
• Manage financial risks, cash flow and budget development in collaboration with the CEO
• Oversee preparation and submission of Business Activity Statements (BAS), annual financial reports and aged care financial statements
• Ensure proper reconciliation of aged care subsidies and funding allocations
• Manage financial audits and external reporting requirements
• Drive process improvements and financial controls to enhance operational efficiency

What We’re Looking For

• A qualified accountant (CA/CPA) with 8+ years' experience in a senior finance leadership role
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and risk management
• Experience in aged care or healthcare (highly desirable)
• Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations
• Demonstrated success in process improvements and financial controls
• Strong commercial acumen, leadership and stakeholder management skills
