Looking for an experienced civil project engineer- tunnelling, deep excavation, pipeline experience required

Your new company

My client is a brilliant firm performing some highly interesting and technical projects across Australia. Their Victorian business is growing on the back of some major wins across some of Victoria's largest infrastructure projects. With 40 years experience, they perform a range of tunnelling solutions from micro tunnelling, to pipe jacking, shaft construction, stormwater, deep excavation construction etc. A team of 5 engineers in Melbourne, a growing team, with a strong, fun culture, they now require an experienced civil delivery engineer with a background in something as similar.

Having placed 4 personnel with them this year I know exactly how good they are- excellent feedback from all.

Your new role

You are responsible for the planning, design, and construction of various tunnelling, drilling, construction related projects. This role involves working on projects such as roads, highways, water supply systems, and utility tunnels. The engineer ensures that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Reporting to an experienced PM and a site engineer in support, you will effectively deliver projects together.

Experience in managing projects of this scale, $2m- $10m advantageous. You will be confident in project set up from site, and managing all crews and subcontractors in delivery.

What you'll need to succeed

Due to the specifics of the client, MUST HAVE; please read

A degree civil engineering
You will have between 4-7 years experience in as relevant as possible technical, civil projects, packages up to $20m
Based in Melbourne, ready to go.
Strong communication skills, confidence out on site to manage subcontractors and report to clients
Project experience- $1m- $20m- these are tunnelling related projects similar work ideally
Initial projects are East side of Melbourne. Able to go from site, 2 days/week, office just over Westgate, 3 days/week
Full Australian working rights- PR / Citizen

Salary - $120k- $140k+super + vehicle
