SA Health presents an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team at the Flinders Medical Centre unit within the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network.
About the role:
Joining our passionate team of Mental Health Nurses, you'll be part of a dedicated team providing exceptional care to older adults experiencing mental health challenges. Your role will involve delivering compassionate, patient-centred care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of treatment.
To excel in this position, you must possess exceptional clinical skills, a strong understanding of mental health principles, and a genuine passion for working with older adults. Previous experience managing a portfolio is highly desirable, as it will enable you to effectively coordinate care and ensure seamless service delivery.
About you:
- Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing/Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and who holds a current practicing certificate.
- Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice.
- Effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to prioritise workload.
- Ability to be, creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting.
Experience in a Mental Health setting is highly desirable.
