💰 Hourly Rate: $45–$60 (commensurate with experience)

About the Role:

This hands-on role involves the maintenance, servicing, and repair of heavy vehicles and trailers to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. You’ll be a key player in minimising downtime and keeping our fleet in peak condition.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance across a range of vehicles

Troubleshoot mechanical issues and carry out effective repairs with minimal supervision

Perform brake, suspension, and drivetrain repairs, as well as general mechanical overhauls

Support workshop operations including scheduled servicing and mechanical upgrades

Maintain accurate service records and report mechanical findings using internal systems

Respond to roadside issues as required (optional rotating call-out roster)

What We’re Looking For:

Recognised Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Trade Qualification

Solid post-apprenticeship experience in heavy vehicle maintenance

Proficiency in fault diagnosis and mechanical repairs

Experience with makes like Kenworth, Scania, Volvo, Cummins, or BPW is an advantage

Competence with basic computer systems for job logging and service records

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive work attitude
