Horticulturalist / Gardener Team Leader

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a full-time role as a Team Leader Horticulturalist / Gardener at Naturewise Landscape Management in Box Hill NSW 2765. In this key position, you will be responsible for leading a team of passionate gardeners and horticulturists to maintain and enhance the beautiful landscapes of our high-profile commercial and residential clients.

What you'll be doing

Oversee and coordinate the daily tasks of the gardening team to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery

Provide hands-on involvement in all aspects of landscape maintenance, including mowing, pruning, weeding, planting, and lawn care

Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise, ensuring client satisfaction

Mentor and develop the gardening team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback

Liaise with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and adapt the team's approach accordingly

Maintain detailed records of work completed, materials used, and team performance

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in Horticulture or a related field

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar team leader or supervisory role within the gardening/landscaping industry

Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of landscape maintenance, from mowing and pruning to planting and pest control

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on client satisfaction

A valid driver's licence and the ability to operate various landscaping equipment

Passion for the outdoors and a commitment to delivering exceptional results
