About the role

This part-time Delivery Driver and Yard Hand role at Mount Barker Landscape Centre offers a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and dynamic business. In this position, you will be responsible for safely delivering materials to customers across Mount Barker and surrounding areas, as well as assisting with general yard duties to support the efficient operation of the landscape supplies business. This Job has the potential for a full time position for the right candiate, some weekend work will also be required, Loader and forklift tickets/experence is a bonus.

What you'll be doing

Safely operate light commercial vehicles to deliver landscape supplies to customers within the local area

Load and unload materials from the delivery vehicle, ensuring safe handling and secure loading

Provide excellent customer service, including liaising with clients, taking orders and providing product information

Assist with general yard duties such as stock control, inventory management and maintaining a tidy work environment

Contribute to a positive team culture and collaborate closely with colleagues to achieve business objectives

Loader and forklift operation.

Additional roles that would not be essitial but benifical are answering phones, processing sales.

What we're looking for

A current Australian driver's licence, with a good driving record

Experience working in a delivery, transportation or logistics role

Knowledge of road safety regulations and safe driving practices

Strong customer service skills and a professional, courteous manner

Ability to perform physical labour and operate machinery as required

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to contribute to the business.
