We do more than collect the bin from your street, we also convert waste into clean energy, divert food waste from landfill and convert to compost, manufacture customised waste management equipment, asbestos removal, refine and recycle oil, manage and maintain our fleet inhouse and have our own bespoke technology systems.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Based in Central Queensland, the main responsibility of a JJ's Driver Trainer/Assessor is to deliver training, assess competency, and ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely and effectively

Depot locations include: Mackay, Cannonvale, Moranbah, Clermont & Emerald

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Providing instruction on safe driving techniques, vehicle sympathy, compliance with Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and Work, Health, and Safety (WHS) regulations

Facilitate Foundation Training & Coach Courses in your region

Conduct Verification of Competency Assessments (VOC’s) and Operational Reviews

Monitor and review Driver Training Records, Coaches and internal training material to ensure it meets the required standard

Support & assist the administrative safety & training team

Support and assist the management team in 3rd party training and compliance matters

Ad-hoc duties as required

ABOUT YOU

Ideally have more than two (2) years operational experience as a Driver/Operator in the Waste Industry & have your current HR Licence

Cert IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122) would be advantageous or the willingness to obtain

Willingness to travel regularly between depot locations including overnight stays

You are motivated & love to work autonomously & you enjoy being part of a larger team

Strong attention to detail, you are thorough & methodical in your approach

Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for mentoring and communicating
