Aboriginal Senior Client Service Officer

  • Location: Griffith or Albury NSW
  • Employment type: Ongoing, full-time opportunity to be part of a supportive, inclusive and diverse team.
  • Salary: Competitive Salary from $97,027 - $107,059 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading
  • A Talent Pool will also be created for future vacancies across the Southern and Western District

Your role

The Senior Client Service Officer plays a critical role in supporting the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients with complex needs by providing tailored advice and addressing their housing and support needs. This role also focuses on mentoring and guiding client service team to deliver efficient, quality client-centred services.

What you'll do

In this role you will deliver a wide range of applicant, tenancy, and property management services.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to address complex tenancy issues, neighbourhood dispute and breaches.
  • Oversee key processes such as client transfers, arrears and optimising workflow to deliver quality business performance.
  • Manage client accounts, applications and rental subsidies to ensure timely processing and compliance in line with policies.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to uplift team capability.

What we're looking for

You will be committed to driving positive change, who advocates for clients with complex needs. You will be a strategic problem-solver and guide a high-performing team to deliver meaningful support and sustainable outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander communities.

You will also demonstrate:

  • A high-level of communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with various stakeholders and build long lasting relationships.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to manage competing client needs and case load.
  • Ability to provide mentorship and training to develop team members.
  • Competency in case management and a keen attention to detail.
  • Committed to continuous business and systems improvement.
  • Demonstrate cultural capability through lived experience, community connections, relationships with Aboriginal organisation and understanding historical impacts.

As an Identified role, this position is open only to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons

  • identifies as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, and
  • is accepted as a such by the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community.
