About the role
MSS Security is seeking a dedicated and responsible Security Relief Officer to provide a visible security presence while delivering exceptional customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors at the University of Newcastle. As a relief officer you will work across multiple roster patterns hence you will be expected to be fully committed for the role in terms of availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure safety and security of people and buildings.
• Escort individuals around the site as needed.
• Ensure property is locked and unlocked as per security protocols.
• Guide and assist individuals navigating the site.
• Document incidents and provide detailed reports.
• Communicate clearly and calmly with key stakeholders.

Skills and Experience:

• Certificate II in Security Operations and a current First Aid certificate (essential).
• NSW Security Licence.
• Strong customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to stay alert and focused on tasks.
• Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
• Incident reporting
