The Warehouse Operator will oversee the efficient management of stock within our warehouse in Laverton North. This role requires hands-on management of inventory, coordination of logistics, and timely and accurate order fulfillment. You will work alongside our BDM, and at times be working independently.

The hours will be varied each week, between approximately 7am – 3pm Monday – Friday.

The role is ideally part-time (20-25 hours/ week), however we will consider full time applications for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate forklifts to load and unload semi-trailers, move materials within the warehouse, and ensure proper storage of goods.

Maintain warehouse making sure complies to OHS/WHS standards.

Ensuring all necessary equipment and sundries are maintained and compliant.

Process Melbourne sales orders / sales tax invoices / samples.

Enter new customers into system.

Planning and Organising Transport.

Ensure no orders are outstanding.

Complete information into Sales Orders once loaded.

Communicating with Head Office Sales re full Semi Load deliveries to Melbourne.

Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.

Clean & maintain warehouse.

Inventory Control / Stock Takes.

Small deliveries to customers as special needs arise.

To be successful in this role you will have:

Experience in warehouse operations roles

Valid forklift (LF) operator certification

Proficient understanding of computer systems for operating and monitoring warehouse process

Ability to problem solve by using logic and reasoning to identify solutions

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Team player who can also work independently with minimal direct supervision

Physically fit and not afraid to be hands on
