About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Sonographer to join a friendly and motivated imaging team based across two modern clinics and a private hospital in Canberra, ACT.

This is a full-time position with a strong focus on quality imaging, professional growth, and a balanced workload. You’ll be working with an experienced team performing a variety of scans, including general, breast and musculoskeletal. At the private hospital, you will also have exposure to gynaecological and vascular studies. You’ll be supported by the Lead Sonographer, who is well known for her commitment to teaching, mentoring and maintaining a high standard of care.

What's On Offer

• A choice between a stable hourly rate ($51–$63/hr based on experience) or an incentivised earnings model
• Optional on-call at our private hospital with triple-time pay (3-hour minimum call-out)
• Spacious, modern sonography rooms with natural light and views
• Average of 10–16 scans per day, with time allocated for more complex cases
• New Canon equipment being installed in 6–12 months
• Strong leadership and ongoing mentorship – particularly in areas such as breast and vascular scanning

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Medical Ultrasound
• Current ASAR accreditation
• Clinical experience in general, MSK and/or breast ultrasound (new graduates will be considered with mentorship available)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care
