Senior Algorithms Engineer

This is a rare opportunity to shape the algorithmic core of a next-generation navigation platform trusted across aerospace, defence, and autonomous systems. Built from first principles, this technology is redefining what’s possible when navigating in GPS-denied environments—deep underground, far offshore, and even beyond Earth’s atmosphere.

As a Senior Algorithm Engineer, you’ll take ownership of the design and implementation of state estimation algorithms—think Kalman filters, sensor fusion, and probabilistic modelling—powering the high-accuracy navigation used in critical real-world missions. From first-line MATLAB simulations to embedded deployment, you’ll work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of optical, hardware, and embedded engineers to bring cutting-edge theory into production.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong understanding of Kalman-based state estimation (EKF, UKF), Bayesian inference, or SLAM
• High-level proficiency in MATLAB for algorithm modelling and simulation
• Strong understanding of linear algebra, statistics, and signal processing fundamentals
• Proven experience building real-world systems—not just academic projects
• Background in robotics, aerospace, navigation, or similar is ideal
• A first-class honours degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or similar
