We are looking for passionate, caring and highly organised Catering Assistants (Kitchen Hand) to join our team on a casual basis.

Working closely with the Executive Chef Manager and Cooks, you will be responsible for:

• The preparation and service of high-quality, nutritious meals for the residents on-site
• Food preparation, basic cooking, food presentation and plating, and food delivery/service to dining areas.
• Providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that residents receive a warm welcome, individualised attention, and responsive service.
• Comply with all food and safety requirements as regulated and scheduled.
• Assist with stock control, rotation of stock, and receipting deliveries.
• Contribute to a harmonious and cooperative team culture based on mutual respect and trust.

The successful applicants will display:

• A great attitude and willing to learn new skills
• A friendly personality to greet all residents and their families with a smile;
• Previous experience in food preparation within a commercial kitchen, preferably in an aged care or health services environment.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts AM/PM weekdays and weekends.
• Comply with required Food and Safety Standards and relevant legislation.
• Good communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service excellence.

Desirable:

• Certificate III in Hospitality or equivalent qualification desirable.
