Hartney Concrete is a residential concrete company specializing in decorative concrete works. Our projects range from small residential homes liaising with builders and landscapers to multi-unit strata subdivisions within the Perth metropolitan area. We operate out of a Yard in Wangara and service suburbs all around Perth.

Role Overview:

As an experienced concrete worker, you will be responsible for concrete placement, leveling, screeding and finishing on residential projects. Must be proficient in all kinds of concrete technology, can independently operate professional equipment and guide the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Concrete Placement & Finishing: Pour, screed, trowel, and finish concrete surfaces (slabs, driveways, footpaths, pool areas).

Formwork & Reinforcement: Assist with setting up formwork and steel reinforcement as required.

Quality Control: Ensure smooth, level finishes with minimal imperfections.

Safety Compliance: Follow strict WHS guidelines and company protocols.

Team Leadership: Guide and train junior labourers in proper techniques.

Key Tasks:

Finish concrete to specified tolerances (trowel, exposed aggregate, liquid limestone and honed/polished finishes).

Operate power tools (vibrators, trowelling machines, soft cutters, demo saws, floor saws).

Repair and patch damaged concrete surfaces.

Cleaning and Sealing of concrete.

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

3+ years of concrete finishing experience.

Proficiency with hand and power tools.

Ability to read construction plans.

Pass a drug and alcohol test.

Current WA license.

Reliable vehicle for transport.

Desirable:

White Card (Construction Induction).

Experience with decorative concrete (Exposed Aggregate, Liquid Limestone, Coloured Concrete, Honing and Polishing of concrete).
