About the role

Gold Coast Private Hospital is currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our close-knit ICU team on a casual basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team, ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.

With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

As a Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include:

• Demonstrate high-level professional nursing practice as evidenced by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements and Healthscope's polices and processes
• Support the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of excellent standard of evidence based, person centred patient care
• Maintaining your own professional learning and continuous professional development
• Act as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care by actively contributing to team processes and practices
• Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the health care continuum
• Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes

Essential Criteria:

• Current AHPRA registration
• Minimum of 12 months experience in ICU
• Relevant postgraduate
• Understanding of the Australian National Commission in Quality and Safety national standards
• Demonstrate the ability to show initiative and work within a team environment
• Excellent communication skills
