Production Operator - Casual Role

This main responsibility of this position is to build, assemble and rework automotive electrical wiring (wiring Harnesses) and related components while ensuring quality standards are met in a productive manner.

This position will be reporting to the Head Production Engineer, and your key responsibilities will entail the following but not limited to:

· Ensure all work is completed in a quality manner. Perform random quality inspections.

· Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner.

· Ensure all effort is made to promote and maintain a productive workplace at all times.

· Contribute to identifying continual improvement to optimise time and reduce cost.

· Maintain a tidy and clean workplace at all times

· Ensure product is completed to schedule as advised by management.

· Ensure 5S is monitored and maintained in the workplace.

· Ensure product is made correctly to drawing or SOPs and advise management of any concerns or problems.

· Ensure any concerns with material supply are promptly brought to the attention of management.

· Ensure all tooling, materials, containers and/or anything else used or moved during the course of normal working activities is appropriately returned to its normal home upon completion.

Key Skill Sets:

· General wiring harness assembly work including termination of cable.

· Read and understand drawings and SOPs.

· Perform daily tasks as per Lumen quality guidelines and Work instructions.

· Maintenance of 5S.

· Assist in the setup of machinery, jigs and fixtures.

· Good communication skills both written and verbal.

· Self-motivated, take initiative, enthusiastic and reliable.

· Team player with positive attitude. Work and share in team environment.

· High level of attention to detail with good time management skills.

· Familiarity with manufacturing.
