THE OPPORTUNITIES
Multiple opportunities for qualified Boilermakers, Fabricators and Mechanical Fitters commence over the coming weeks. Projects are high profile including RPA Hospital additions, the Mount Ousley Interchange, a North Shore apartment complex, Bluescope Western Sydney Service Centre and their new MCL2 site in Erskine Park.
All projects are structural steel fabrication/erection, with durations three months and beyond, with some workshop based and other roles performing site installations.

THE ROLES

• Reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints to mark out, cut, assemble and weld steel
• Perform welding in accordance with approved codes and to able to pass quality assessments
• Fabrication and installation of metalwork in high-end residential, commercial and infrastructure projects
• Carry out basic maintenance of weld machine and equipment for work area upkeep
• Follow all workshop and site safety proceduresTraining with specialised equipment will be offered for upskilling opportunities among continual training and development

PAY RATES
If you meet the below criteria: PAYG $50 per hour / ABN $60 per hour + Daily Travel + Overtime Rates

SELECTION CRITERIA

• Must be able to produce a copy of a Mechanical or Engineering Trade Qualification with Minimum 5 years post qualification experience
• Must possess at least 3 years post trade experience with structural steel fabrication and/or erection
• Construction White Card
• Ability to read and interpret plans and blueprints with comprehensive diagnostic skills & mechanical troubleshooting expertise
• Ability to follow instructions and accurately and safely complete tasks assigned
• Competent use of hand tools & machines utilised to cut, shape, bend, join, grind etc of metals
• Can perform tacking, spot welding and complete welds according to ISO standards with relevant credentials
• Good English communication skills, both written & verbal
• Can understand and adhere to all OHS & safety requirements
• Full Australian working rights
• Full PPE - including High-Vis shirt, hard toe boots & hard hat
• Must be able to Recent employer references x 2
