  • Base Salary Range: RN/M2C | $84,870 - $107,279 p.a
    RN/M1 | $72,651 - $99,139 p.a
  • In addition to base salary, this position attracts Superannuation, Leave Loading, Zone Allowance and once off Incidental Payment (conditions apply), Professional Development Allowance and Salary Sacrificing Benefits (salary packaging).

Please note that as this position is multi-classed as either a RN/M2C or RN/M1, the classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.

Whyalla Hospital

Whyalla Hospital and Health Services is a large regional hospital comprising of 75 beds including flex beds and a designated High Dependency Unit. The hospital provides a wide range of services, including emergency, medical and surgical, maternity, rehabilitation, mental health, and outpatients. Whyalla Hospital’s Cancer Resource Centre is one of the largest in regional South Australia. It includes six chemotherapy chairs, outpatient care and counselling services, reducing the need to travel outside of the region for care. It is also, one of three stroke services in regional SA, providing specialised treatment for suitable stroke patients 24/7, supported by metropolitan stroke units. Our staff work in close partnership with community health services and Aboriginal health providers, to ensure that optimum care is delivered to all areas of the community. About the Role:

Join our team of Clinical Midwives (RN/M2C) who provide expert nursing and midwifery services across diverse healthcare settings. Through experience and ongoing study, our team members evolve from competent to proficient practitioners, taking accountability for their practice standards, delegating tasks, and nurturing the growth of junior staff. While the role remains primarily clinical, each nurse negotiates and develops specialized portfolios aligned with their career growth and development plans.

Join our team of Registered Midwives (RN/M1) who deliver exceptional nursing and midwifery services in healthcare settings. As you progress from novice to proficient, you'll enhance your skills through continuous professional development and hands-on experience. About you:

RN/M2C

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
  • Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.

RN/M1

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
